Dec. 16, 2020 – The SSD Board of Education has appointed Nancy Ide as the Board Director for Subdistrict 4, representing the Ferguson-Florissant, Pattonville, and Riverview Gardens school districts. The Board swore in Ide as a new member at the Dec. 15 Board of Education meeting.
Ide is an advocate for quality public education, in particular special education. “I care deeply about SSD students, families, and staff,” said Ide. “It will be my pleasure to use my institutional knowledge and public relations expertise to ensure the District continues to provide quality services and education.”

Prior to joining SSD, she worked as a copy editor and staff writer for the Suburban Journals.
Ide has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Maryville University and an associate’s degree in journalism from St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley. She earned the designation of Accredited in Public Relations in 2009.
